Do you have a plan to make a difference today?

You’ve finally found some downtime in that busy schedule of yours and you’re considering your options. You could lounge around the house and watch TBS movies, soaking up that much needed R & R you deserve. Maybe you could do some much needed cleaning. Or maybe you can go out and make a difference. Here are a few simple ways to make another person’s life a little better today.

Help yourself and help another. Go ahead and tackle that closet. If you haven’t worn the clothes in over a year it’s time let them go and give them to another. Maybe you have some furniture or kitchen appliances that could use a new home. There are several charities in your community that are willing to accept donations of almost anything including old technology devices. They can recycle them for cash.

Search for volunteer opportunities in your community. There’s probably something listed in today’s paper for a project that’s happening right now. Or check out the internet to see if you can lend your talents to an organization. Several kids’ organizations and retirement communities have short term activities that could use your help.

You don’t have to find an organization in order to make a difference. Maybe you’ve been meaning to do something with a friend or relative you haven’t seen in a while. Give them a call or stop by for a visit.

There’s no need to just sit on that couch. Go out and make a big difference by doing something today.
