2009 Annual Conference Presenter Information

 

Location Information

•  The conference is at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC), 350 Harbor Drive , Duluth , MN . The DECC is located on the bay of Lake Superior next to Bayfront Park and Canal Park . See maps at www.decc.org.

Conference Registration

•  When you arrive at the DECC, please check in at the presenter registration area to receive your nametag, conference folder, handouts and any last minute announcements.

•  Registration for the Conference begins Wednesday, September 23 at 10:00 am. Registration continues on Thursday, September 24 at 8:00 am and Friday, September 25 at 8:00 am.

Handouts

•  Handouts are strongly encouraged, participants often comment on how much they appreciate it when presenters use handouts, please bring about 75-100 copies. If you would like us to make copies, (limit of 12 pages) please email them to nacm@yournacm.com no later than September 4, 2009.

Hotel Accommodations

•  If you made lodging reservations, you will receive a confirmation directly from your hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of the DECC and are connected to the DECC via a skywalk. (approximately an 10 minute walk)

Parking

•  Parking is free at the hotel. There is a $4.00 fee per day to park at the DECC.

Message Board

•  Please be sure to check the message board near the registration area at the convention center.

Questions/Need Information?

•  Stop by the registration area. We will help you in any way we can.

Location of Sessions

•  Sessions with similar topics are grouped together in "tracks" (listed horizontally in program) and assigned to specific meeting rooms. The final book will include a map, schedule and meeting locations for each session and track.
 

•  Room assignments for the break out sessions will be marked in the final program book and will be communicated to you in a letter prior to the conference.

Presenter Note

•  Past conference participants have repeatedly asked that presenters repeat questions received from the audience. Repeating the question will allow everyone to hear and benefit from the answer.
 

•  It is extremely important that presenters who are providing their own audio-visual equipment remember to bring all power and connection cords.

Meal Location Information

•  If you are not registered for the conference, but would like to eat on-site, commuter meals must be purchased prior to noon on September 15. Meal tickets purchased will be distributed upon conference check-in.

Participant Raffle Drawing

•  There will be a participant drawing at the end of the conference. We encourage your organization to participate by donating an item to the drawing. Suggestions for items include gift certificates, golf balls, clothing, promotional materials with your company's logo, baseball hats, music CDs, or movie videos. Attach your business card to any donations so that we can recognize your company while choosing a winner. Items can be dropped off in the registration area when you check in.
